Graduated from Edgewood College, Madison, Wisconsin with an MA in Religious Studies in 2002. I am a life-long United Methodist with a deep interest in John Wesley and United Methodist history and polity. I am a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Madison, Wisconsin with close ties to University United Methodist Church. These are two of three UM Churches in Madison that openly welcome lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons.
I am in a 25-year domestic partnership with Jim Dietrich. Jim and I raised his two daughters together. Our daughters are mature, successful, both married. We expect to be grandparents in April 2006, and we are having fun decorating the expected baby's room & generally anticipating the fun of being grandpas.
I work full time for a local Presbyterian Church in administration (finance) and part time for a United Methodist congregation as staff Treasurer. My formal theological education (MA in Religious Studies) is from a progressive Roman Catholic College (Dominican order). Not surprisingly I have ecumenical interests.
Jim and I arrived in Toronto last night. We're seeing the city today. Finalizing our wedding arrangements for tomorrow. By 3:00 tomorrow we'll be legally wedded spouses!
